Well, well, well!!
The least I can use for an opening, followed by my gratitude to Mr Hicham El Banna for the amazing book that I was given sometime last March as a winning prize .
And for sure to our dear Sara Ibrahim for arranging that competition that lead to my wining.
Now, let me tell you about the book. When I got it first I had some books inline to read and hence I had it on my dresser waiting for its turn.
Came time for it, the title didn’t make off any of “what’s it about“ but sounded intriguing still.
The book is a wonderful diary for the events I lived myself in Tahrir from January 2011 onward as seen from our three musketeers, each from his own view.
Went through with such close interweaving of personal events alongside the sociopolitical crisis that we all lived in for that period.
I can’t lie about the so many times parts of the novel brought tears in my eyes, and others got me shivers of glory remembering what we then lived.
Hats off to a promising writer. If that was your first publication I can assure you I’ll be queuing for the next.
This is really a must read. Specially to all the comrades that spent nights and days calling for our rights.
