However, I was genuinely surprised by the novel's beginning. It tackled real-life doubts and tangible challenges and raised new questions before answering them with striking clarity:
- Why shouldn’t I seek wealth?
- Is wealth reserved for a certain group of people?
- Does contentment conflict with the pursuit of more money?
I soon realized my perception of wealth had been limited. I found myself walking alongside Ahmad — a young man like you and me — as he embarked on his journey to seek wealth, and together we witnessed his experience unfold.
In every corner of this novel, there beats a genuine pulse of life.
Millionaire Under Construction — written by the engineer and author Salem Al-Masrahi and published on the "Kotobna" self-publishing platform — is a narrative memoir blending realism, personal experience, and social analysis.
The story begins by recounting Ahmad’s past — a boy raised in a poor family in Saudi Arabia, highlighting his sick mother who refuses treatment. Ahmad later steps into the world of self-development by attending training courses where he meets the charismatic yet deceptive coach, Sherif.
As events unfold, Sherif’s true face is revealed. What once seemed like a celebration of hope turns into a mirror of betrayal, leading to a profound internal transformation in Ahmad.
